Kittscouture has closed it's shop.

Just a short blog to let all the loyal and lovely customers who have visited my shop over the last ten years that I decided to close it down in September 2012.
It has been great fun and I have met many lovely people and made many good friends.
I just needed to get out and about more often.
So, thanks again for your support, and I'm not leaving Penzance, so will be seeing many of you around anyway, cheers!

Dear customers and friends of Kittscouture


I would like to let you all know in advance that at the end of September 2012, two months time, I shall be permanently closing Kittscouture.
After ten years of trading in vintage clothing I am now going to venture into something new and quite different.
I have loved building up my vintage clothing business and have made many dear friends through Kitts.
So, I would like to acknowledge in this post my thanks to all my lovely and loyal customers for their support.
It's been great fun but it's also very indoorsy! It's time I got out more!

What are the mannequins wearing this week?

Pearl is wearing a fabulous 1980's lacy white sequined & beaded dress.

Gloria is wearing a 1980's duck egg blue chiffon lined strapless dress with gold and blue embroidery.

Joselly is wearing a 1960's pink chiffon and satin trim party dress.

Gloria has also been wearing a late 1970's black velvet evening dress with gold beading and pearl detail.

Crystal is wearing a 1960's raw silk cocktail dress with crystal beading & a 1950's pink velvet hat.

Jackie is wearing a 1950's cotton turquoise and brown print dress with a 1970's leaf green hat.

Customer of the week.

This week 'customer of the week 'is Roger the bearded dragon who can be seen here sporting a rather fabulous 1940's/50's red silk kerchief that his adoptive mother Angie purchased for him. Angie tells me that Roger is something of a fashionista, with the firm belief that one should always dress for dinner. Like many of us, Roger also enjoys the odd tipple, as illustrated here in this second photograph. Angie insists that he is simply sipping  water, but you know, there's a certain look about Roger in this picture which is far more reminiscent of someone approaching a stiff G&T at the end of a long hard day than your verre d'eau.

Just discovered 'The mannequin club' and as a huge mannequin fan had to join.
